How many similes can you find in this poem? How many metaphors?
Racism is like trying to jump rope without any legs.
Racism is like trying to drink all of the water out of the sea.
Pointless.
Racism is like looking at the sky through a straw.
Small.
To hate each other just by the color of skin,
Has to be human's greatest sin.
Racism is a wave of stupidity.
What we need is familiarity
With all races, colors, and genders.
Because our world is a blender,
With contents that are black, white, green, red, yellow, and blue,
All mixing together in one diverse melting pot of stew.
